It is also about 100 miles away from Reno, Nevada. The training MMTC center is thought to be the training facility that is premier in providing equipment, personnel and training to use in mountain and cold weather battles and mountain operations. The U.S. Marine Corps has an agreement with the U. S. Forest Service to use the area to train and the training facility is actually located directly in the middle of the National Forrest. It is a training center for United States military people and International personnel who come to America to train in Mountain fighting, survival techniques and cold weather operations.
