Basrah Opens New Courthouse Facility

Courthouse And Witness Protection 11,000 Square Foot Building

There is a lot of excitement in Basrah, the forces that were causing the city to be one of the most violent in Iraq have been pushed out, and while there is still an occasional insurgent or terror suspect discovered, or a cache of weapons, the city has undergone a large transformation.

Part of this process has been the ability of the city of Basrah to rebuild the courts, and the different court facilities and complexes. Basrah is one of the regions in Iraq that are working hard to enforces and uphold the new Iraqi constitution, and the rule of law. Citizens are proud of the rule of law, and the newest court facilities are a testament to that.

The Judicial facility in Basrah will be responsible for serving a region of over two million residents. It is a structure that has been constructed by Iraqi citizens and construction crews, and it will stand as a symbol and a functional courthouse for the region.

The ability of an area to enforce and maintain the laws is important to fight off terror and anarchy. The new building in Basrah is an 11,000 square foot facility, and it will house a courthouse, offices, and a witness protection facility.
