Aviation Battle Manager Air Force Careers

The Air Force Aviation Battle manager is a hectic and fast paced job. You will be the person that is directly involved in the management of air defenses, airspace, and specific tactical missions. You will organize, plan, direct and implement the planning of air missions, air tactics, and mission planning. You will assign aircraft for combat weapons missions, reporting, data link and different air force missions. You will also be responsible for later evaluation of how missions were performed, and you will participate in evaluating how the missions went. The specific job of Air Battle Manager deals with flight and aircraft systems, weapons systems, and communications systems.

Working as a Air Force Battle Manager you will work from a variety of locations, including often from a mobile command center, it is a flying assignment. It is a job that functions as a unit training and operations commander. They are based frequently in E-3 AWACS, E-8 Airborne Laser, and E-8 Joint STARS aircraft. Serving in the Air Force as an Air Battle Manager is a competitive and challenging assignment. You can deal with a variety of different flying and training operations. You will be responsible for managing the unit training and conducting operational readiness training, to be sure that the aviation assets are prepared trained and ready for their missions at a moments notice. Air Force Battle Managers function as a Commissioned Air Force Officer, and requires being a commissioned officer. There are several paths to becoming a commissioned Officer in the Air Force. You can attend Officer Candidate School, attend a service Academy, complete a ROTC Air Force Training program among other methods.

Serving as a Air Force aviation Battle manager is a position that requires a lot of commitment and service to the Air Force.
