Doura Transferred To ISF Control

Coalition Surrenders Region To Iraqi Security Forces

One of the best things that the coalition has been able to do is their transfer of control of different areas back into Iraqi Control. One of these regions has been a large part of the Doura area of the Rashid district. This area has now been transferred back into ISF and Iraqi control

Members of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment have achieved a goal that they have been aiming at for a long time. After a lengthy period where they worked with different members of the Iraqi Army, the Iraqi National Police, and other members of the Iraqi Security Forces, they have been able to achieve mission completion.

The coalition has observed, supported and watched as the members that they have trained from Iraqi Forces have grown in expertise and confidence, to the point where they support the MND mission to set the region into Doura Iraqi hands.

Transitioning the region back into Iraq hands is not very complicated, but it does require that the Iraqi Security forces be able to demonstrate they can handle the security.

In broad strokes, the ISF forces have in fact been doing the heavy lifting, and their success has been a excellent example as how well trained the ISF forces have become.
