Ramadi Youth Aided By Coalition

Nearly 3,000 Kids Receive Help With Youth Conference Issues

Building activity and different things for young people to participate in can be one of the most rewarding jobs that the Coalition gets to participate in. Next to fighting or patrolling, or having to look for bombs, getting to work with eager and enthusiastic kids for a mission is a no brainer, it is universally welcomed by nearly all military units fortunate enough to have such an assignment.

The City of Ramadi has been working with the Coalition to create the brand new Ramadi Youth Conference, one of the signs that the region is returning to normalcy.

It is one of many signs that the region is starting to return to normal, and it is exciting to see the intensity and amount of participation in the new program.

Nearly 3,000 school age children from several different neighborhoods have been able to participate and are glad to be involved. The members of the EPRT Ramadi 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 1 recently assisted the new Ramadi Youth Conference in hosting the first Indoor Olympic Children’s Games at the South Ramadi Gym July 21st.

Many people are wary of the coalition but when they see their children supported and give assistance they melt, and are friendly and approachable. They are sometimes accessed indirectly by such activity, in a positive win win that benefits everyone.
