Max Your Entrance Tests

Max Your Entrance TestsUsing Simple Tactics Help You Increase Your ASVAB Score And you have to still take the ASVAB test?  Well, here are some simple things you can do to help score high.  As you may be aware of, a higher score on the ASVAB test gives you more bargaining power when it comes time to dicker for the job you would like to have in the military after training. If you can, when you are talking with the recruiter, AFTER you have taken your ASVAB test, talk about the jobs you are interested in.  If you can, get it in writing, its called a guaranteed school, or guaranteed rate agreement. Simply put, here are a few things to keep in mind before taking the test. Get some sleep  The night before taking the test, its very important to RELAX.  Many times you can arrange to take the ASVAB test at your school so being relaxed might not be so hard. However if you are going to take the test at a local military office or installation, then you may feel a little more stress.  RELAX. Its important not to worry, and to get a good nights sleep.  If you are staying at a hotel out of your local town, go to bed early!  Go to bed, read, relax, draw, maybe watch some TV.  Do whatever it takes to take your mind off the test and to relax and get some good sleep. Ask Questions  When you actually are there to take the ASVAB tests, you may have to wait in line, and you may be admitted in twos and threes to take the test.  RELAX.  Do not interrupt, but do not be afraid to ask questions before the test starts.  YES, some people at the test station may give you attitude, but be bold.  ITS YOUR FUTURE.  So don’t be shy about asking if you don’t understand something. Remember even if they are grumpy or downright unpleasant, its their job to help you.  So shrug it off and ask any questions you may have. Listen Carefully and Follow Instructions  Once you sit down, take it seriously.  Its not the place to joke or make light, it’s a very serious situation.  Your military future depends partly on the outcome of the test you are going to take. Remember Its Up to You  Common sense is the word of the day.  Avoid careless keystrokes.  Take your time, but don’t take too much time on any one question.  And most of all , RELAX. You will do just fine.
