Local Sheiks Work With Government And ISF Leaders
Many of the local Sheiks that live in Iraq have been slow to trust the members of the Coalition and the Iraqi Security Forces. But over time, they have become some of the most enthusiastic supportive members of the local government and environment.
After the success of the surge, Sheiks by and large are enthusiastic in helping to reclaim and redeem their country. They meet an average of twice a month with different members of the Coalition, the Iraqi Security Forces, and the Sadr City District Iraqi Government.
One of the most enthusiastic members of many of the groups that govern Iraq, the Local Sheiks have been invaluable in giving support and encouragement to citizens, and to members of the Iraqi Government.
