Iraqi Security Forces Successful At Security

Despite Withdrawal Of Coalition Success Continues

The actions of the Iraqi Security Forces have been very successful at maintaining the overall security in and around Iraq. The coalition mounted the surge and then slowly have been working to withdraw. Many people thought that the surge would not work, and still others believed that the overall security of the Iraq nation would suffer when the surge battalions were withdrawn.

However, the overall security has remained the same, or even improved. It is a situation where the training and equipment provided by the Coalition has worked to keep the area safe, and the soldiers in the ISF have been able to put to good use the different lessons that they have learned.

The Coalition still acts as a backup, and they participate in many different security patrols as requested, but the day is soon coming where the total responsibility for the security in Iraq will be the job of the Iraqi Security Forces, and they will be ready.

The Security forces of Iraq have studied and worked hard to maintain the high level of security, and it has served the Nation of Iraq well. At first the ISF and Iraq Army forces were very green and did not know how to properly maintain security.
