Joint Forces Donate Wheelchairs To Kids

ISF Army And National Police Join With Coalition To Donate Chairs The members of the Coalition were upbeat to be able to participate with the members of the ISF forces recently in obtaining wheelchairs for members of the community in Balad, Iraq. Military police soldiers, a chaplain and a number of different members of the local community, as well as several units of the Iraqi Security forces worked to obtain wheelchairs for several disabled children in the village of Balad. There are handicapped Iraqi Children that have had no chance to get around, and have been left to be transported by members of their family. Because of this, they have not been able to experience a very high quality of life. Because the security situation has improved, the members of the coalition have began to look around for different projects and found that there are handicapped children that needed wheelchairs. Members of the 164th Military police company out of Fort Richardson, Alaska worked with the 18th Military Police Iraqi Brigade, and provided wheelchairs for the joint group to distribute. The Military police have become very involved in the local community, and their efforts have led to the discovery of the wheelchair needy handicapped Iraqi children. I don’t know if you can use electric wheelchairs or not. I have a power wheelchair that would be perfect for a child or small adult but I don’t know if recharging it would be a problem. Please let me know if you think it can be used.
