Army Unmanned Vehicles Used In Forward Mission Roles
Since the beginning of the age of Aviation about 100 years ago there have been a number of different advances in the aviation and flight community. It used to be that you had to be willing to fly and put yourself at risk in order for a military application or military mission to be accomplished.
But now a pilot or operator can sit back and issue commands to a Unmanned Aviation Vehicle, without the pilot being at risk or facing any danger. The UAV vehicle in use today supports troops and soldiers on the ground as well as having an offensive capability of their own.
As one of the main operators of UAV vehicles in Iraq, the soldiers of the 4th Infantry Combat Aviation brigade worked to launch and recovered their UAV vehicles on a regular basis, in support of the Army mission being accomplished.
The UAV aerial vehicle has a history of about 10 years, and it has been used to wide success in various locations around the world. It has enjoyed a lot of success in usage in Afghanistan and Iraq, because of its ability to give the operator a tactical advantage over the enemy.
The coalition has used UAV vehicles to scout and maintain observation and intelligence about the enemy, and to attack some of the high value targets.
