Coalition Assists Start Of Clinic
The Iraqi Army has worked hard to study how to deal with people, and they have been doing an excellent job with the security as different regions of the country are slowly turned over to the Army and the Iraqi Security forces made up of the Army, the Iraqi National Police, and even members of the Sons of Iraq.
A new area for them is the building and outfitting of medical and other type of infrastructure facilities in Iraq. This is an area that most of the time the Coalition has led in.
Recently, with supplies and direction from the Coalition, the Iraqi Army took the lead, in the supplying and refurbishing of a Sadr City medical clinic.
This time the roles were reversed, it was members of the Coalition that provided security while Iraqi medical and military personnel delivered supplies, assisted patients, and otherwise helped to get the Sadr City Clinic back on its feet.
The visit from the Iraqi Army is the first of many planned visits; part of what they are attempting to learn is how to support the people and the organizations within their operations area.
