Challenges And Success In Reconstruction

Soldiers And Iraqi Citizens Work Together To Rebuild

The nation of Iraq has settled down and is for the most part a much safer place than it has been in the past. Part of the challenge has been to find the best method to get everyone, the Iraqi Security Forces, the Iraq citizens, members of the coalition, and others on board working on rebuilding and reconstruction.

International donations continue to come in, as well as a better involvement from the Iraqi Government toward funding their own reconstruction efforts. More than $33 billion dollars from various international countries and groups has been pledged toward reconstruction costs, and it has been a lot of hard work to get everything arranged.

Different countries have pledged financial support for Iraq, and some countries that do not have money to give has send advisors for technical and logistical support.

Overall the efforts to rebuild Iraq have gone well, and it continues to be a hotbed of activity. The nation has worked to set up its own authorities in construction, building, finance and other areas, and they are slowly making the transition from a nation indebted to the Coalition to a nation that is able to stand on its own two feet.
