Food And Athletic Equipment Given To Baghdad Youth The best type of humanitarian assistance opportunities, according to soldiers, has to be the different missions that involve passing out supplies and aid to Iraqi Children. They are always likely to have huge smiles, and are always appreciative that you were trying to help. Members of the 404th Civil Affairs MNF Coalition soldiers joined members of the Iraqi Security Forces in giving out a number of different types of humanitarian aid. Food, fresh drinking water, grain, bread, and a number of different types of games and toys were handed out to smiling and laughing children, While members of the coalition have handed out food and supplies before, each time that Servicemembers are able to participate with children you can almost see the anxiety and stress melt away on the faces of the Coalition Servicemembers. The Servicemembers are all voluntary, but getting enough personnel to hand out supplies is never a problem. The job requires mainly enthusiasm, and the willingness to assist citizens. This time the amount of supplies was on the medium side, with nearly 400 food packs, close to 250 back packs, over 200 soccer balls and a large variety of other toys, crayons and even pens and paper were well received.
