Anbar Security Assumed By ISF Forces

Security Is Yielded By Coalition To Iraqi Forces

The overall security of Iraq continues to get better and better, and additional areas are slowly being turned back to Iraqi Security Forces for administration. The province of Anbar has now been handed over to the Iraqi Security forces.

Anbar was for a long time one of the most unsafe areas in Iraq, and the battle and combat saw some of the fiercest fighting in all of Iraq. Slowly the different efforts by the Coalition was successful in pushing back the insurgents, and either insurgents were arrested or they fled to other areas.

The official hand over of security for the Anbar province was held on September 1st, in a ceremony yielding the security from coalition soldiers to members of the Iraqi Security force.

Anbar is no longer a host area for Al Qaeda, it is an area that is safe for all Iraqi Citizens. Anbar has been transformed and reclaimed by the ISF forces and the Iraqi people.

The province of Anbar is the 11th of the 18th Iraq provinces to come under provincial Iraqi control, and the civilians from Anbar have rejoiced to be able to assume control and administration of their home province.

Local citizens are able to openly attend festivals, go to parks, and enjoy all of the benefits of a free society, which was not possible previously during the combat and battle conditions.
