Iraq Prioritizes Education In Ameriya

Region Features New School Facilities

There has been a lot of different projects accomplished in the Baghdad region, but in the Ameriya district one of the main priorities remains education. The Alethar School in NW Baghdad in the Ameriya region has become the priority of the area education neighborhood council.

The coalition has remained very active and supportive and provides much of the funding that has helped make the difference. Micro grants and other funding issues have worked well, giving members of the education community and coalition soldiers the ability to repair and support the schools.

Many of the best workers in the education community in Iraq have worked out to be citizens, many of who are parents or older siblings of current students.

The community has fully embraced the efforts to restore and rejuvenate the education efforts, and this has gradually led to Ameriya becoming a core for education in the region. This has not always been the case, and it is serving as a model for other regions that want to know how to improve their schools and education districts in Iraq.
