US Army Gives Fedaliyah Farmers Assist

Supplies And Animal Feed Given To Area Farmers

For hundreds of years there has been economic and agricultural activity in the Fertile Cresent of the middle east, which is where Iraq is located. Agriculture is still part of the main focus for the region, and a mainstay of the economic capability for the region.

Farmers and agricultural people that earn a living from farming and raising livestock in Iraq participate in the Iraqi Free market, which began to function first in 2003 after the regime of Saddam Hussein. The Farmers of Fedaliyah have had many different problems over the years finding food and animal feed for their livestock.

Many of the residents left farming and gone on to other types of employment, because of the difficulty that has been the norm in getting food and supplies for their farms and for their livestock.

Much of this is changing due to the assistance of Soldiers and members of the coalition, and it has been an active resource for the farmers that they have not had in the past.

It is not only an economic issue, but one of survival for the farmers. As the farmers have been able to receive assistance, the ability to produce quality produce and grow their herds and livestock has increased.
