Military StarSM Card options include attractive interest rates, and a ready acceptance at sites worldwide. The advantage of not having penalty fees normally associated with such cards, as well as no late, annual or other type nuisance fees also make the StarSM Card a well respected and appreciated Card option for Servicemembers.
The StarSM Card is a card that has been universally accepted at Post and Military Exchanges around the Globe. Air Force and Army Exchange CFO Mike Howard says “Our StarSM card was named Number one in the Nilson Report on financial issues in July 2007.†The StarSM card has been a success since it was introduced in 1996, and promises to continue to be a card allowing more access and favorable rates for Service Members and their families.
“In credit options and card issues, if a program is strong, then we can better offer services and incentives for it†says Mr. Howard. “This program is very strong and our ability to offer Exclusive and Military only credit options is almost unlimited with the StarSm Card.†Said Howard.
Some of the incentives available with the StarSm Card for Service Members are offers for Free Standard Shipping, twenty four hour online access, first day ten percent first use discounts for card holders, various promotional offers, and multiple ways to pay. There are also online military store and catalog options that are reserved for StarSM cardholders only.
The StarSM card has exploded on the Military Scene. There are nearly one million active accounts currently, and usage of the card increases dividends for Service Members and their families. Use of the StarSM card also has helped return money to the Military Community in the form of MWR funding. There are some pitfalls, but it is still an attractive card for Service Members.
