Coalition Gives Assistance To Community

Colonel Michael McBride is the commander of the 101st Airborne Division, 1st Brigade Combat team, and he acknowledged the success of the local economy of the Salahuddin province. The economy in the region has grown a great deal, especially in agriculture.

Attacks in the region have been reduced by over 75 percent, and this has created a sense of security and peace that has encouraged the economic recovery.

The security has continued to get better and better across the board, according to Colonel McBride, and the improvements in Beiji, Smmara, and Tikrit are especially encouraging.

The security level has led to reconstruction that was not possible a year ago, and it continues to grow and succeed as the Iraqi Security forces continue to take charge.

Colonel McBride has spoken to a large number of eastern farmers and they all say that the success that they have has been the result of the increase in security and the actions of the Coalition and the Iraqi Security Forces have been successful.
