Your Army Career as an enlisted Metal machinist will start with Basic Combat Training for 9 weeks, after that the Army Machinery metalworker will attend 14 weeks of individual advanced schooling. In the process of learning to become a skilled expert Army machinist you will study and learn how to use and identify different metals, and the operation and setup of different types of metal working machines.
