Transition Military Medical Benefits

The different types of medical benefits that are available for Servicemembers are on the whole lucrative. As a Servicemember leaves Active Duty military service, either to Separation or to membership on the ready reserves, there is coverage available for them medically. Many time as people come off the battlefield and separate from Active Duty they have particular situations that are unique to people coming off of military duty. These types of situations are unique and the TriCare medical system helps to assist and support our Veterans and Servicemembers while in transition. To qualify for services a Servicemember must be: A Reservist or Air National Guard member leaving active duty after more than 30 days consecutively serving as a contingency support Servicemember, separating after being held in the service due to Stop loss operations, or be separating following a added agreement to stay on active duty for a year or less in support of a military contingent operation. For others that do not qualify for Transitional Assistance then there are other programs in TriCare, some of which have a nominal cost, to help those who are returning from active duty. The Transitional Assistance Management Program is a program that is specially designed to help people in these types of situations. Transitional Assistance is not for everyone and not everyone qualifies. But for reservists especially it is an attractive benefit that fills the gap that was left previously when a Servicemember would serve and then return, and be without medical insurance coverage. Other programs such as TriCare Reserve Select, one of the three main TriCare Programs, or Continued Health Care Benefit Program, all of which offer varying amounts of coverage. The TAMP benefits are also available to their dependents at the same level of service they were experiencing just before separation. The program provides transitional health care benefits to uniformed Servicemembers for 180 days after they separate. There are specific identified TRICARE medical benefits that have been designed to assist our Servicemembers completing their terms of enlistment, or as they transition from the Active Duty Military to an active or inactive reservist unit. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military? See if you qualify. Click Here Now! If the Servicemember elects to use the benefits for TRICARE prime then they must reside in a TRICARE prime serviced area, either in the United States of Overseas.
