Security At Nassir Benefits From Additional Patrols
The changes and positive growth of security in the Nassir region has been marked by community support. The Iraqi Army has only been involved in physical type of security, house to house searches, kicking in doors, and physical arrests.
Now, the Iraqi Security forces have slowly been gaining confidence, and helping with different areas. These soldiers have been receiving training from the Coalition, and dealing with a number of different programs that train them in diplomacy, and learn how to deal with members of the community. They have been able to begin to deal with different issues that before they didn’t have the training, or the finesse to deal with.
When workers returned to the steel factory the region began to be a priority. The 4,000 workers need support in security issues, and they have been protected and supervised by the Iraqi Army, despite the large number of workers traveling to and fro.
The United States Soldiers have worked to make sure that the Iraqi Army has the training and support, and the Iraqi Security forces have been successful.

The workers are able to move back and forth in the area, in safety and it is a testament to the training of the Iraqi Forces, and they have been able to keep things secure without being overly visible.
