Adhamiyah Operation Led By ISF

Coalition Gives Support In Ongoing Operation

In ongoing operations the Iraqi Security Forces have been demonstrating their successful assumption of security operations throughout the Adhamiyah region. The Coalition has been observing and taking note of the positive successes, and reporting on the changes that have been occurring throughout the region.

The coalition has been working to put the Iraqi Security Forces in the lead, giving them positive experience and allowing them to assess how the ISF is performing and giving them assistance and helping them to grow.

Joint Iraqi Patrols were observed by the US Army and then they were able to report to the Coalition the ability of the ISF to operate in the Adhamiyah District. Their ability to assume complete control and maintain security has been a slow growth, but a progression that has been slowly more and more successful.

On one recent patrol, the Coalition quietly observed the ISF forces take down a insurgent cell that was trying to place a set of IED devices on the highway between Tarmiyah and Mushadiidah. The ISF forces swiftly and professionally surrounded the insurgents, and took them down without a shot being fired.
