VA Education Certification Support

For different jobs from medical professions to computer science there are jobs that need certification and the Veterans Administration will help pay for it. The right license or certification can help you keep a job, advance in your job, or gain a position that you are otherwise qualified for. The Veterans administration provides funding for certification, licensing and other fees, and this financial benefit comes from GI Montgomery bill funding provisions. The VA is able to reimburse for the cost of fees for the tests themselves, not any other fees that are associated for licensing or certification. Some specific jobs must have certification or a license in order to be able to perform, sometimes these certifications can be voluntary, but often they are required to work in the job. The VA has a number of different programs that are designed to help and assist veterans, but one of the programs is the licensing Vocational Certification program. You can get funding or reimbursement for up to $2,000 dollars for each type of certificate or test that you take, the cost has to be restricted to the specific certificate fee or cost of the test. You can take a test and fail, and you can receive benefits for it when you retake it. You have 10 years from the date of your active duty separation to use these vocational or certification education benefits. If you are a selected reservist you qualify for benefits, but this is a particular benefit that you don’t qualify for as a reservist. It is a specific program that works to provide reimbursement for licensing and certification. It provides for licensing certification and testing for specific vocational and licensing programs, such as is found with construction and other type of vocational training. There are a number of other benefits that you do qualify for as a selected reserve member. If you participate in the Montgomery GI Bill then your eventual benefits will be slightly reduced if you use them for certification or testing purposes. Find the Military Career right for YOU ! Click here for more Information. You can obtain a license or certification if you meet a number of requirements, and you have to have a specific job that qualifies. Before you are able to participate you have to make sure that you certify with the VA and have your program approved before you start.
