Increased Iraqi Security Gains Strength

Coalition And Iraq Forces Successful Across Iraq

More than 349,000 different Servicemembers in the Iraq Army and Iraqi National Security forces have been trained and equipped by the Coalition over the last 12 months. Since June of this year over 8,700 soldiers have also been trained and equipped by the coalition.

This surge in growth has given the Iraqi Security Forces the support in growth and success that it has needed to become a true self sufficient security and military force.

It has led to the steady and graduated growth of the Iraqi Security forces, and it has made a huge difference in the ability of the Iraqi nation to begin to take over its own security and safety. The coalition has been able to train and teach this massive new influx of personnel in different missions, and give them ability and skills to perform their own security.

This has led to the decrease in violence, and the increase of professionalism in the Iraqi Military. The number of crimes, including murder and violent assault in the Baghdad area and surrounding region is down, and much of this is because of the large numbers of police and Iraqi military that are now available, actively protecting and patrolling.

In addition, the large number of human resources gives the Iraqi Government more people to interact with community groups, schools and other types of infrastructure. All of this leads to the positive growth of the Nation of Iraq.
