Iraqi And Coalition Forces Work For Security Jointly
In a joint house to house cordon effort, the coalition worked recently with soldiers from the Iraqi Army to search the Baqquba region for any lingering terrorists or insurgent suspects. In the search, there were nearly 6 different individuals that were turned over to the coalition for questioning.
This was an operation that was done with very little intelligence, but yuet still was performed in a military and professional manner. Members of the 1st Battalion 5th Iraqi Army worked with the members of the coalition to go house to house, taking the time first to meet with the local city officials the day before so they had fair warning about the house to house search for members of Al Qaeda and terrorist insurgents.
The Citizens of the village worked closely to provide what information that they had to the joint forces, and it helped lead to the capture of the 6 suspected insurgents. Along with different information that they encountered as they went house to house, the joint forces were overall successful in their efforts, and the citizens were cooperative as four man teams went from each house to the next, interviewing and interacting with the residents as they searched each house.
