Adder Projects Created For Irrigation

Coalition Gives Support To Iraqi Forces

The continued creation of different projects for the local community has helped create a spirit of understanding and trust in the community. The US forces in the coalition are giving assistance to the Iraqi Security Forces in a number of different programs, including one to provide electric power and generators to help provide pumped water for farmlands up and down along the Euphrates River.

The generators provided by the coalition will aid agriculture in the area and provide a means to obtain power in different areas where electric power lines are not available to help out. The region has a lot of potential for farming, but without water and power to provide the pumping it is in many ways barren.

The materials and know how have been provided by the coalition, and the overall security for the pump and generator project has been provided by the Iraqi Security Forces. They are standing guard in an overwatch project to make sure that no one creates a problem or an issue, or attacks the workmen and coalition soldiers that are working to install the pumps and generators.
