Methods Of Improvement Discussed

US And Iraqi Officials Talk About New Security Methods

Government officials from Iraqi and leaders of the coalition met recently in Iraq, in the city of Baghdad for a joint security conference. The current situations in Iraq and the method and success of the security in Iraq overall was discussed, and a number of different security situations both positive and negative were discussed.

Most of the different elements of success in dealing with security overall has been due to the influence of the coalition and the training that they have given the members of the Iraq security forces. This training has allowed members of the coalition to gradually move back into a support role, while providing a method of transition for the Iraqi military and security forces.

The neighboring counties all have been able to become involved, and they are pleased with the progress that the Iraqi military and Iraqi government has made.

The International Compact for Iraq has laid a positive foundation which can provide progress and support for the overall forward progress for the nation of Iraq as a whole.

The overall reconstruction of Iraq will be a team process, one that will take time, but will be able to occur with the cooperation of all the players at the table. Each of the members, the coalition, the Iraqi Government, the Iraqi Police force, the Iraqi military, even the Iraqi people all have their own role and specific issue to play.
