Coalition Uses Training With True Life Scenes
Members of the Iraqi Military Intelligence school have worked hard with members of the coalition to learn field techniques and exercises. This has included new methods including real life scenarios that have been played out in different villages, including Taji, Iraq.
“Our Iraqi Partners are working hard to take responsibility for their own government, economics, and security,” said US Army Major General William B. Caldwell IV. General Caldwell is the spokesman for the MNF forces involved in ongoing training of Iraqi soldiers and intelligence operatives.
Experience in combat is valuable, but so is experience in obtaining information, both from military and civilian sources. Some of the real time, real life scenarios include events where members of the community are suddenly stricken with illness from drinking water, or where a alleged terrorist group is on board vehicles with explosives headed for a checkpoint.
“These are real life valuable tests and training opportunities for everyone involved, everyone has a role,” said General Caldwell.
These specific situations are designed to allow each soldier or student to practice new skills in a realistic real time environment, in as realistic a method as possible.

This type of training is very useful and will be able to be utilized by the coalition, to give both members of the Iraqi citizens and Iraqi soldiers valuable real time experiences.
