ISF Forces Assist In Capture and Seizure

Coalition Aids Iraqi Security Forces

The members of the Iraq security forces worked to detain 10 suspects recently in the seizure of a weapons cache. Soldiers from the Iraqi 2nd Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army successfully freed 2 hostages earlier in the day during a raid, and it led to the arrest of the 10 suspects later in the day.

The eastern region of Baghdad has been relatively clear of insurgent activity recently, these two incidents have been a relative aberration

On Weds of last week the special forces unit of the Iraqi Army captured an additional 4 suspects in the Sadr City neighborhood. The suspects are thought to be part of a long time cell that has been fairly hard to capture in the past, and its leaders are suspected in a series of different attempted car bombings and the attempted murder of 2 different Iraqi officials.

Slowly, the members of the Iraqi Military have grown in professionalism, and it has been a successful progressive endeavor in preventing different insurgent type activities. The citizens and members of the Iraqi Community have supported the change, and have been able to give both vocal and effective support for their own ISF forces.
