Iraqi Army Succeeds In Terrorist Capture
The Iraqi Army has been enjoying a high level of success. Recently, in a joint patrol with members of the coalition as backup held in reserve, the members of the Iraqi Security Forces were able to arrest 10 suspected terrorist insurgents. They were also able to rescue a 16 year old Iraqi young man that had been taken hostage and to whom the insurgents had planned to offer for over $150,000 dollars in ransom.
5th Iraqi Army soldiers arrested the 10 suspects, and turned them over to the coalition for additional questioning. They then went house to house to search for insurgents that they may have missed, but they were not able to find any other suspects despite a in depth search.
The soldiers were able to identify different suspects that had been on the list of wanted terror suspects for over 90 days. The Iraqi Army has worked hard to become a professional group, and it has for the most part been successful in its efforts.

The success of the ISF forces has been due to a cooperative effort, including increased intelligence and a higher quality of information. This has led to the ability to respond more swiftly, and accurately to different incursions by terrorists and insurgent suspects, as well as the ability to move more successfully against different criminals that threaten the peace and serenity of the region.
