Support And Security Opportunities On Positive Swing
The local Iraqi Security Forces have been cooperative and working closely with the Coalition, and they have created a level of understanding and joint cooperation that has been highly successful. The confidence of the Iraqi Military, and the overall success and professionalism of the Iraqi Security Forces has been on the upswing.
Recently a citizen approached the Iraqi Military Academy with information about a terror group, and within minutes a joint patrol force was swarming the suspected terror site, and 4 different insurgent suspects were arrested and held for questioning.
Running checkpoints, inspecting house to house, no matter the challenge the ISF forces have seemingly been up to the task. The coalition has continued to challenge and provide training opportunities for the ISF forces, as well as advanced training situations as the level and expertise of the ISF forces have grown.
The number of different patrols that the coalition itself participates in has slowly been reduced, and with this activity reduction the coalition has primarily worked to fix different schools, as well as working to distribute and provide supplied of various nature to the Iraqi Citizens.
