There has been a lot of security and safety that has been created since the surge of the coalition last year. As the security has stabilized, and the responsibility has been given back province by province to the Iraqi Government, one of the side jobs has been to make sure that the nation is ready by training niche specialists to take care of important jobs like bomb disposal.

To that end, there has been a lot of different Iraqi personnel trained in different jobs, including the job of EOD bomb disposal. Members of the coalition 752nd Explosive Ordnance disposal company, that is attached to the 1st special troops battalion, 1st BCT, 4th Infantry, MND-B have been working to train small groups of Iraqi Army personnel that are designated to be eventual bomb disposal technicians.

The training is important, once they are trained they immediately are implemented in different Iraqi Army units to take the place of coalition troops that have been providing bomb disposal and other such duties.
