Iraq Sends Assistance To California

Fire Victims To Receive Help From A Group Of Iraqi Soldiers

There has been a lot of assistance sent from the members of the American public to the nation of Iraq, and for the first time, there is a organized effort to send some support back. A group of Iraqi Soldiers recently gathered to show support for the residents of the state of California who have suffered from wildfires.

The soldiers in the Besmaya Range Complex gathered, and took up a collection, raising just over $500 dollars toward wildfire relief. They sent the money to the citizens in California for wildfire relief, to help efforts to prevent wildfires.

The same group of soldiers also sent over $1,500 dollars to victims of the Hurricanes that struck the south part of the US, Hurricane Gustav and others this last fall. The soldiers, members of the “Eagles” have been very supportive, they donated $500 dollars to the national US September 11th Memorial fund also.

It is an example of democracy in action, this and other types of responses have been learned at the hands of their trainers and mentors, different US coalition military units that have been their trainers and support units over the years.
