Rashid Leaders Work To Plan Community Show
As the security in the Nation of Iraqi has improved, slowly the Government and local leaders have began to take up other issues, such as the Arts and humanitarian concerns. Recently the leaders of the Rashid region worked to prepare for a cultural and Arts show in Rashid.
This is the first time in over a generation that a Arts and Cultural event will be held in Rashid, and members of the Government and the local community are excited. It is planned for November 26th, and it will be the first time that such an event has been held in the Baghdad region in a very long time.
The event organizer is Faruq Faad Harmdani, a resident and Iraqi Citizen from the Mansoor district, and it is organized around a theme he selected himself.
The event is also begin supported by artists and students from the local Doura Technical college, who have been working to promote the event, with public service spots in the local media as well as posters and other promotional efforts.
The region has a reputation for violence, and the theme “New Life, New culture,” is one that is promoting the ability of the region to progress and change, to an area not known for violence but for safety and security of its citizens.

The event will be the first in Southern Baghdad for many members of the community, and there has been a good response from the citizens and the community.
