uk-prime-minister-announces-british-troop-withdrawalBasrah, Iraq- Eventually all good things come to an end. Recently the prime minister of the UK, Prime Minister Gordon Brown spoke before a group of  British soldiers, and talked about the withdrawal of soldiers next spring from Iraq, at the end of May, 2009.
While on his tour of Iraq, PM Brown also met with the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri A Maliki. The two leaders spoke at length about the use of British troops to date, and the withdrawal next spring from Iraq of all British soldiers from Iraq.
The military of Great Britain has worked on achieving four different objectives during its stay in Iraq as part of the coalition and Operation Iraqi Freedom. They have worked to enable the return of economic ability, achieving security for the nation of Iraq, assisting and furthering the election process, and other factors that are needed to keep the community safe.
The Prime Minister was loud in his praise for the courage and bravery shown by the UK soldiers. He spoke briefly with a large init of British soldiers before leaving Iraq, and he reminisced at the positive achievements by UK soldiers over the last several years as part of the coalition.
