Camp Taji, Iraq- The overall level of training that the Iraqi Army has received has helped them to become
a modern, independent military force. As they have worked hard to learn and grow as a military force, they have had a lot of different procedures that are new to them, that they have had to learn to adapt.
One of the biggest and most successful has been the Iraqi Military learning how to cook and prepare food for their Servicemembers in the field. Learning how to plan, prepare and serve nutritious and fresh meals to their soldiers has been a new issue, and it has been one that gradually they have became very proficient at.
Recently the Iraqi Army has began to use two brand new Mobile Kitchens, similar to the type used by US And coalition forces. They are modern, and allow for food to be kept fresh, hot and served at a consistent temperature.
The system that the Iraqi soldiers used in the past was expensive and didn’t allow for fresh and consistent food, and many times food would spoil. The Iraqi Soldiers are very grateful for their new mobile kitchens, and they plan to increase the number of mobile kitchens that they have in the future.
