New Military Support Bill To Support Distance Learning

new-military-support-bill-to-support-distance-learningThere are a number of different bills that are in Congress that are in support for members of the United States Military and our citizen soldiers. The newest bill is to give support for members of the military that wish to participate in distance learning, either while on active duty or after they leave active duty service.

There are funds and programs in the GI Bill that have come into being after September 11th, and many members of the Military would be eligible to receive a living stipend under the current bill and legislation.

The House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman introduced last Tuesday and it serves to help provide funds for Veteran’s education benefits that could take place as early as August 1st. The bill itself is one sponsored by Representative Bob Filner, D- California and it will address several of the largest complaints about holes in the Veterans Support area.

Veterans will be provided fees and tuition for distance learning, and a $1000 allowance for books and supplies each year. This is the on top of benefits for the new GI bill that give a monthly stipend for military education support.
