Joining the Military Tradition

joining-the-military-traditionThere are many good reasons to join the military, and one of them is tradition. Often, when we grow up we want to be like our parents, at least for a while. At first we want to do the things they do, from wearing big, grown-up shoes to doing the kinds of jobs they do both around the house and in their careers. Sometimes, children do grow up and pursue the same kind of career as their parents, or they start working in the family business.

A great many of these parents also served their country in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or the National Guard. And even more of their grandparents served in the military, both in peace time and during wars.

Are You Interested in Travel and Learning a Professional Skill? There are career fields in the United States Army Reserves and National Guard for YOU! Click HERE for Details.

Joining the military continues the tradition in your family of serving your country. And once your active duty is over, you’ll have the distinguished title of United States Veteran that will last a lifetime, just as it has for your parents and grandparents. You’ll earn the respect of both your family members and your entire country, by joining the military and continuing that patriotic family tradition. If it’s not a tradition in your family, you can be proud to be the first.
