Coalition and ANSF Soldiers Deliver Supplies
Coalition Forces have stepped up to the plate in aiding ANSF Soldiers in Afghanistan in recent weeks. Joint forces have worked hard to bring supplies and food to several villages that have been severely limited in their resources.
Troops delivered oil, fuel, food, and various supplies to five different villages in the Province of Zabul December 22nd. Joint Afghan National Security working in close cooperation with U.S. and Coalition Forces have rendered medical and support aid also to villages.
Coalition forces have been pleased to see the extent of the response by the ANSF Afghan forces. Trained and supervised by Coalition forces, more and more the ANSF soldiers have begun to forge themselves into a stand-alone National security and police force.
Previous visits have been fruitful and yielded a lot of cooperation between afghan citizens and the ANSF soldiers. Supplies during the Eid-Al-Adha holiday were very well received. Cooking oil and food were given to widows of Kala, Enjar, Khanjak, Band, and Ghundey villages for Eid-Al-Adha.
ANSF soldiers have showed a deeper respect and acknowledgment of cultural and religious observances than in previous contact with Afghan citizens. This is slowly working for their betterment, with the citizens realizing that the ANSF security forces are there to help.
“May God continue to preserve you and bless you,” said one elderly Afghanistan Woman.
“All of our villages in this whole region were known to be Taliban strongholds, but slowly we are showing the people that we are their friends,” said an Afghan National Army Commander. “The assistance and security are secondary to the sense of relief that the people have that we are truly there for them, to assist and help,” said the Army Commander.
