U.S. Military Pays For Your Dental Degree

U.S. Military Pays For Your Dental DegreeYou read it correctly. You can join the U.S. military and go to college for free for a medical degree in dentistry. If you aspire to become a dentist and cannot afford medical school, this may be your ticket. Dentistry is a career that is in high demand and the pay is, as everyone knows, excellent.

By joining the military, you agree to provide them with your services for a fixed period of time. After that, it is up to you to decide to stay in the military or head for civilian life. However, what you will probably discover is that you may not want to leave an opportunity to perform a job you love and getting paid to travel all over the world at no cost to you.

How Can You Afford Medical School And A Family?

Very few people can afford to provide for their family and go to medical school at the same time. Between normal household bills, tuition, textbooks, and extra transportation, it simply requires too much time and money. As a military service man or women, however, you receive housing, utilities, full medical benefits and a retirement plan, all while earning a salary.

Unlike other employers who send their staff to college, the military understands that college is a fulltime job and treats it accordingly. You are permitted to focus entirely on your education without neglecting or overstressing your family. If you had any excuses for not going to medical school, the U.S. military just threw them out the window.

It’s Not Just About Education

The truth about a career in the military is that you soon discover there are far more advantages than you would have guessed. Regardless of your duty station, you have access to medical care, grocery shopping at the commissary, household goods at great prices in the post exchange and a stipend if you elect to live “out in the economy.”

Each time you are transferred to an exciting new duty assignment, the military pays for all of your moving costs, gives you the time you need to get situated and they will even transport your vehicle at no charge to most duty stations. It doesn’t get much more convenient than that.

Post Degree Benefits

Once you have earned your degree in dentistry, you will care for your brothers and sisters in arms and, occasionally, their families. You will become well known and highly respected at your duty station. In addition to your college education, the military will pay for your continuing education, sending you to refresher courses, conferences and industry events to ensure that you maintain state-of-the-art skills in your area of expertise.

As a member of the U.S. military, you will be required to stay in peak physical and mental condition, you will earn a salary comparable to the civilian world and you will have one of the best benefits and retirement packages to be found anywhere. What are you waiting for?
