North Korea part II

Written by USPatriot

Yesterday I had something of a rant about North Korea. I suppose it has been building up for some time now. Usually I try to offer news with some of my own opinions gently infused into my writing. And then other times there are days where I just have to lay it on the line. Yesterday was one of those days. To continue with what I was saying, basically I don’t believe we should feel threatened by North Korea. We need to force the nation to finally make a move. They are under weak leadership. Kim Jong Il is sick and has failing health. Now is the perfect time to swoop in and lay it all on the table. Basically we need to tell them to get their ducks in a row and start following orders or we will force them to do so. I know that Obama isn’t big on force. Granted I believe diplomacy should always be the first course of action. And I commend him for trying that path. However it is time to call North Korea’s bluff once and for all. That is all this whole rouse has been – a bluff. North Korea has never intended to utilize their dangerous weapons. If North Korea launches a ballistic missile the entire world will rally so fast that North Korea will never have a fighting chance. We need to tell Kim Jong Il to start cooperating or to prepare for a painful war.

Do you disagree with my thesis on this issue? For months I have seen this whole issue as a bluffing attempt from North Korea. I have also advocated that we continue to use diplomatic measures to attain cooperation. However I can’t advocate that any longer. For North Korea it is time to put up or shut up.
