We hear reports of how the ground troops are performing, and how the overall surge is working. But we do not have much information about what the situation in Afghanistan or Iraq is in the Air. We have the most advanced Air Force, and the best equipment in the world, but we just dont have the access or current reports and this should change.
We have planes and aircraft worth millions of dollars, and our personnel are well trained, but all we can guess is that our brave airmen, pilots and support staff are doing okay Sometime it would be good to know the facts, and it would help paint a more accurate picture if we had news of the aerial based successes.
Why is it we only hear of the bad things? We just do not have any information about all the successful missions that are completed by our Air Force. If there is a mishap or a problem, well the whole world knows within minutes. For example two Air Force pilots had to eject and a stealth bomber was destroyed in the crash, in Guam last week. But all of the different Air Force success stories from the last days, weeks, and months we do not have any clue about- we just do not hear them.
We would have a much better idea of how things were going in the battles overseas if we simply had all the information, including the mundane and commonplace. The American people would feel a lot more support for what is truly happening if they were kept informed of all the events, not just the negative or bad things.
