Israel Ready for Iran Nuke

Written by Jonathan Formby

The Foreign Minister or Israel stated that they will be ready to defend themselves against any and all threats from a nuclear Iran. The Minister stated that Israel will do whatever is necessary to ensure their survival. He believes that the nations of the European Union have not taken enough action to relieve Iran as a threat. Additionally he thinks it faulty that the nations of the European Union have not been more concerned of the possible ramifications of nuclear Iran.

It seems as though Israel would have the most reason for concern with regard to a nuclear Iran. The two nations have always had an abysmal relationship and Israel is within such close proximity to Iran that dangerous is an understatement to describe the situation Israel faces. I know for a fact that the US would be substantially more aggressive in their pursuit of Iran’s disarmament if the US were situated in close proximity to Iran. However as it stands an attack from Iran on the US would easily be rebutted by our advanced defense systems.

However my theory of proximity of location dictating actions is somewhat flawed in that the European nations who are closer to Iran are not very fearful. As described by the Foreign minister of Israel, “By the actions taken by most European governments you don’t see that the gravity of the situation has been understood.”

However my view still stands, the US would be working faster and better to fix this situation if we were in the kind of danger that our European allies and Israel are facing.
