Iran Sanctions and Nuclear Aspirations

Written by USPatriot

First and foremost, is there anyone out there that actually buys the line from Iran that they are trying to develop a “peaceful” nuclear program which will only be used to generate power? The truth is that nuclear programs do provide useful power for a country and they should be part of the infrastructure makeup of many stable nations. However Iran can’t be trusted with a nuclear plant. Iran has refused to allow IAEA members to inspect plants, which proves that they are not cooperative and downright dangerous. In November Iran announced that they would be building ten new nuclear plants throughout the country. They have also announced that they will have a plant on the border of Iran and Iraq which has angered and concerned the Iraqi government.

Why would Iran risk angering the international community for the development of a nuclear power program? Iran has lost vast sums of money due to economic sanctions. From a financial perspective it is simply foolish for Iran to continue on this path. Additionally Iran has lost any of the favor it had with the industrialized nations. Iran will soon be a target for war if they do not shape up. Would any country risk war for the development of power?

To those who defend Iran and their nuclear program, I say wake up, because we are in the real world. The risk reward ratio simply does not justify a peaceful nuclear program. Why would the country risk so much and continue despite adamant warnings from the US and UN if they did not have something truly great to gain (nuclear aspirations)?

There is my read on the situation. Please feel free to disagree with me. However I have to say I have grown tired with anyone defending Iran and their nuclear program.
