Yesterday I gave my two cents that an attack on Iran is a legitimate possibility in the future. Originally I rescinded my theory that Iran would be on the receiving end of a US war when Obama stepped into office. Honestly I believed him to be a democrat in the truest sense of the word. However seeing his troop surge in Afghanistan he has proved to me that he can utilize foresight as the nations commander in chief. Furthermore this move illustrated that the President is no pushover. If it came down to a true threat, I believe Obama is capable of attacking Iran.
Make no mistake, we are headed down that road if the nation does not shape up and get in line. They are acting very dangerously right now and it can’t lead to anything positive for them. I suppose they believe that the potential for a nuclear program outweighs the con of angering the most powerful country in the world, as well as the UN.
However we must move on to the main event – A US General has finally stated what needed to be said – the US could hit Iranian nuclear sites if necessary. It was music to my ears to hear this stated out in the open as Iran needs a taste of hardball. Iran needs to understand that we are not bluffing, but that serious action will be the consequence if they don’t shape up.
