Not bad, if you ask me.
The Navy has released final pics of the new Navy physical training uniform this week. Looks-wise, it’s certainly an improvement over the old PT uniform.
Why shouldn’t they be able to look fashionable when they’re out tackling that run or pumping out those push-ups?
Especially when you consider that working out doesn’t exactly light everybody’s fire, sailors can use all the motivation they can get to stay physically fit.
If a nicer-looking PT uniform helps, why not have one?
Navy Times describes it as consisting of, “A gold T-shirt and blue shorts. The T-shirt will have the word ‘Navy’ in safety reflective letters on the back and on the front, and the shorts will have the lettering on the left leg.”
I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying wearing this new little combo. It’s lightweight, attractive and would properly fit just about anybody.
According to the Navy’s PRT Standards website:
“We have designated optional items including a long-sleeved shirt, compression shorts, headgear and running shoes which can be worn during these events,” said Robert Carroll, Head of Navy Uniform Matters Office.
A Navy wind suit is also in the works. A NAVADMIN with more information on uniform policy will be released soon on the Navy Personnel Command website.
