Dynetics and MNMS Technology

Written by USPatriot

A test firing of the MNMS or Multipurpose NanoMissile System first-stage demonstration booster has been successfully completed by Dynetics. MNMS is being developed by Dynetics for U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT).

Dynetics as some may not yet know, has delivered high-quality, high-value engineering, scientific, and information technology (IT) solutions to customers within the U.S. government and a range of other market segments since 1974. They have headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama, and offices throughout the United States. From Cybersecurity Softwares to Micro Satellite Spacecrafts, Dynetics have been making such high technology products and services in Intelligence, Missiles, Aviation, Cyber, and Space.

Now, Dynetics along with USASMDC/ARSTRAT and COLSA Corporation are working out the propulsion system for MNMS. MNMS is said to be a revolutionary low-cost, low-complexity, multi-configuration missile for use in a variety of tactically relevant suborbital and orbital applications. They’ve run a series of tests which included a 60-second test of the 3,000 lbf nitrous oxide/ethane rocket engine. The MNMS booster was developed over 24 months with numerous rocket motor development tests, according to the news. The MNMS configurable boosters can be modified to many specific missions. These include missile defense target vehicle, infrared and radar sensor exerciser, hypersonic test vehicle for aerospace components, pop-up reconnaissance system and highly responsive orbital launch vehicle for nanosatellite payloads (10 kg to low-Earth orbit).

Wow, I have not much to say but – awesome! Whatever Dynetics is doing and no matter how much time it takes for them to finish this totally awesome MNMS booster, I can already say that it’s worth the wait. With their proven expertise in these industries, we can expect all the best from them.
