Iran uncertain of Nuclear Offer

Written by Jonathan Formby

Whitehouse officers commented that they believe Iran will likely reject their offers for US incentives in exchange for remission of their nuclear program. They continued to discuss the fact that Tehran might now face new harsher sanctions if they do reject the US offers to end the nuclear program. Dana Perino, white house spokesperson commented that all the US members of the UN as well as the German members of the UN are in favor of immediate suspension of uranium enrichment by Iran. She continued to call the US incentive package, “very generous.” She concluded by saying that it was a shame that Iran would reject such an offer.
The United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice agreed with Dana Perino stating that the US would offer Iran an additional two weeks to accept the terms of the United States proposal and to dismember their nuclear program.
What happens if Iran refuses to give a clear and concise answer? Well in my opinion that is the most likely path here. Iran has a history of continually beating around the bush in order to delay international action against their programs. I have said it before and I will say it again, Iran is continually trying to buy time. I don’t believe that they are willingly going to give up their nuclear program unless drastic measures are taken.
