Prompt Global Strike Initiative Continued

Written by USPatriot

Yesterday I discussed the Prompt Global strike initiative and I must admit that I was somewhat biased in my opinions. I spent the majority of my post stating reasons we should be cautious against such a development. However today I will attempt to list all the positive implications associated with this new US endeavor.
In my mind, it is a fact that one way to maintain power is simply to appear strong and capable. If the United States continues pursuing military improvements such as the Prompt Global Strike Initiative, then they will inevitably appear strong and collected to the global community. Furthermore, we will actually be strong and capable in the event that we need to go to war. There is the old adage that states, you can never be too careful. This new plan for weapons, which can hit any target within sixty minutes, falls directly under that old adage. If we are able to hit anywhere in the world in such a short amount of time, we are practicing preparation and readiness for any event. There is also the reality that the US was already capable of hitting any target in the world. This new plan simply allows the US to hit any target in the world in a faster manner. Theoretically this could save US lives in the event we were able to attack the enemy before they could land an attack on the US.
However in the end I will yet again leave this dilemma to you. You should make up your mind whether you think this advancement is a welcome step forward or a step in the wrong direction.
