I want to know what you readers feel about the War in Iraq. Should we ever have entered into this war? President Barack Obama believes that we never should have entered into this war and that it was a mistake from the very begining. I believe the general consensus of the American public is that they had originally rallied for a war. Now that it has been several years since the war’s begining, with few direct benefits for the United States, its time to pull out. I very much dislike the way that everyone pretends that they didn’t advocate for this war from the very begining. So many people talk about what a mistake this war has been yet the same people were demanding action after September 11th. I do believe that certain issues with the war could have been handled better and I do believe that we could be spending less with this war but I think that people at least need to be able to admit that they wanted this war from the begining. As a nation we asked President Bush to take us to war after September 11th.
I honestly want to know what you think about my thoughts here. Have I misinterpreted the events that took place after September 11th? More importantly, do the reasons why we went to war match the reasons why we are still at war? Should we be involved in this war at all?
